My sculptural work is born from the observation of the city, of the contemporary city full of elements, where its inhabitants have a different social behavior than in the past, with a bodily relationship with the environment declined, just as the bodily relationship between people has declined. For this reason, my sculpture focuses on the lines simple, where abstract geometry is the basis of my language together with the game. One of the great motivations they are children and the soul of a child, so I create simple, balanced, almost basic forms, where it can be reframed the landscape, assert yourself, pass through or sometimes climb. That the work is an experience is essential in my work, as well as, the one that integrates into its environment.
Regarding materiality, I work with stone, acrylic and metals. The stone appears when the project is more intimate or the place requires it as belonging to a territorial identity. The acrylic, although I work it as a work finished, until today it has been part of the creative process and the maturation of the shapes for a larger project. AND steel is definitely my favorite material to intervene in public space, since it provides the opportunity to fly. Lightness includes in a better way, for me, the territory, the land and the air. Air that invites to breathe, that invites the rhythm, which invites play, imagination and joy.
