Constance Edwards Scopelitis
American
Touted as one of the “exceptional” contemporary artists in the United States by Studio Visit Magazine (2010, 2012 and 2013), painter Constance Edwards Scopelitis began her career studying under American figurative painting legend Isabel Bishop and continued her study alongside other notable figurative painters such as David Leffel and Peter Cox.
Thrice given the nod by American Art Collector, Scopelitis has also been included in four Studio Visit compilations and has been juried twice into SaatchiArt online collections. She has been awarded three career fellowships (including the Lilly Foundation’s Creative Renewal Fellowship in 2014), and continues to exhibit in internationally recognized contemporary art fairs.
Scopelitis’ fine art education at Indiana University and the Art Students League in New York served as the foundation for these accomplishments. Her works have been included in Indiana museums and are in notable private and corporate collections. She has studios in Indianapolis and New York.
