Deville Cohen
Israeli, b. 1977
Deville Cohen (Israel, b.1977) received an MFA from Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY (2010) and studied at the Weiseensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin, Germany (2007). Cohen explores his interest in the interaction between individuals and their surrounding environment through his work in theater, sculpture, collage, and cinematography. Select recent solo exhibitons and screenings include Poison, The Front, New Orleans, LA (2013), Barrick Films Presents, Marjorie Barrick Museum, Las Vegas, NV (2013), Acrophyobia, Nowhere Gallery, Milan, Italy (2009). His recent group exhibitions and screenings include Queens International 2013, Queens Museum, NY (2013), Tomorrow It’s Time for the Future, Kunstraum Krezberg/Berlin, Berlin, Germany, (2013), and Stage Presence, Theatricality in Art and Media, SFMOMA, San Francisco, CA (2012). Cohen lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
