Dolores Zinny & Juan Maidagan
Argentine, 1968 and 1957
Dolores Zinny (Argentina, 1968) and Juan Maidagan (Argentina, 1957) were fellows of the Whitney Museum ISP and recipients of the prestigious DAAD Berlin Artist Program Award, John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship Award and Pollock Krasner Fellowship Award. Their work has been featured internationally, in venues like the 50th Venice Biennial, the 2nd Sevilla Biennial, the 5th Berlin Biennial, the 8th Gwangju Biennial, 1st Cartagena Biennial and in institutions as MIT, The Generali Foundation, Haud der Kulturen der Welt, with solo exhibitions at The New Museum of Contemporary Art New York, Moderna Museet Stockholm, Museo Rufino Tamayo Mexico City, Lunds Kunsthall, DAAD Galerie-Berlin, MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, among others.
Zinny Maidagan have produced art for the public space: for Graz City Hall in Austria, for the Biblioteque Royale in Brussels, recently they won two important Public Art Competitions for permanent work in Germany: for Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Campus Westend and for Fulda University of Applied Sciences, new campus.
Zinny Maidagan are now working for a project at LACMA in 2017, as part of Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time LA/LA, in this frame, they were awarded in 2015 a full Residency at 18th Street Arts Center in cooperation with LACMA.
They are represented in many private and public collections. Among them: MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Siegen; Daimler Chrysler Collection, Berlin; Bankhaus Spängler, Linz and Sammlung zeitgenössischer Kunst der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn.
