Dr. Wale Ajayi

Dr. Wale Ajayi, a distinguished artist and educator, graduated with honors from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts in 1990, a Master of Fine Arts in Painting in 1998, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Painting in 2015.
Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at Adeyemi Federal University of Education in Ondo, Dr. Ajayi held leadership roles from 2015 to 2017 in the department and served as the Dean of the School of Vocational and Technical Education from 2018 to 2022.
Affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) and the International Society for Education Through Art (INSEA), Dr. Ajayi is recognized as an Art in Medicine fellowship (AIM) fellow. As the leader of the Group of five (GO5) and the LIMCAF coordinator for Ondo Zone, he significantly contributes to artistic discourse and expression in the region.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Wale Ajayi is a dedicated studio artist, showcasing his work in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally. His creative vision extends to commissioned artworks, reflecting the universal appeal and recognition of his artistic prowess. Dr. Ajayi's enduring commitment to the arts, coupled with his leadership and artistic contributions, solidifies his position as a luminary in the field of fine arts.
