Eileen David

Eileen David’s realist oil paintings capture the everyday urban environment of San Francisco. David received BAs in studio art and art history from San Francisco State University and an MFA from San José State University. The artist’s primary focus is light-filled cityscapes with nostalgic, intimate atmospheres. Her work results from a close study of the infrastructural elements of daily life that allow the city to function: roads, bridges, houses, and transportation feature prominently. David is interested in the visual effects of time, light, and climate on these structures and how they endure human use. David’s exhibition highlights include group shows at the Heritage Museums and Gardens and the Napa Valley Museum.
