Along with many of the most important Brazilian designers, Martin Eisler (1913-1977) was educated in Europe. He studied architecture in Austria after which he moved to Buenos Aires in 1938. In the same year, he founded an architecture firm and organised an exhibition of his furniture. From 1952 onwards he came to Sao Paulo where he worked with Carlo Hauner and Ernesto Wolf to found Móveis Artesenal in 1995 which would later become forma.
