Biography

Eline McGeorge uses drawing, animation, sculpture, and collage to create abstract narratives dominated by angular shapes and guided by eclectic source materials. Attempting to capture the essence of process and transformation, McGeorge blends perspectives and intentionally creates discontinuity and displacement. She refers to her video pieces as “moving still-drawings”, short-loop animations based on drawings and incorporating various resources (from found interview excerpts, radio transmission, music, and British pound notes) that unfold over time. Her style references Cubism, Futurism, and Constructivism.
