Emeka, born in July 1969. Though a graduate of accounting which has taken him on a career journey through the Oil and Gas industry, Banking, and the Information Technology industry, he never stopped drawing and painting in his private time. Emeka is a graduate of Government College Umuahia, Baptist High School - Port Harcourt, University of Port Harcourt and Ogun State University.
Emeka’s professional artistic career began 2005 when he left his position as a Business Development Manager to pursue his long time aspiration as an artist. Mostly self-taught, his art was given a boost during his contact and Atelier (Studio) practice under the guidance of Mr. Edosa Ogiugo and Mr. Abiodun Olaku and the Universal Studios of Art where he still practices as a Professional Artist.
He has been involved in many group exhibitions and most recently in the Terra Kulture /Mydrim Gallery 2015, auction. Emeka has also been engaged in some high-profile art projects/commissions which include Portrait Commissions of some State Governors and Art Projects with State Governments and Corporate Clientele including – Ondo State Government, Lagos State Government, Osun State Government, UNICEF, Nestle Foods, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
I have never been a proponent of being consumed in a particular style. I love good art and desire to produce same continually, but most especially, the human figure fascinates me a great deal. Body movement, facial expression and most especially the essence of our being.
