In original Kirchner frame. • In original Kirchne frame. • In 1950/51 part of a large traveling exhibition with pictures from the Kirchner estate. • Unusual image section that is almost entirely occupied by the motif. • Effectful interplay of strong and rich colors and pastel shades of blue. • The year the work was made E. L. Kirchner and his partner eventually settled in Switzerland über. The work is documented at the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive, Wichtrach/Bern. PROVENANCE: From the artist's estate (Davos 1938, Kunstmuseum Basel 1946). Kirchner Erbengemeinschaft, Biberach (1954).
