Australian artist Fiona Hall uses recycled, everyday materials as the basis for her sculptures and installations that explore globalization, environmental destruction, and the relationship between nature and culture. Hall studied painting at the National Art School in Sydney and began her career as a photographer before she started creating installations that adopt museological methods of classification and display. She represented Australia at the 2015 Venice Biennale with Wrong Way Time, a wunderkammer-style installation of over 800 objects interspersed with wall-mounted clocks as a reminder of the passage of time. Hall has had significant retrospectives of her work at the Queensland Art Gallery and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
