Biography

According to Hungarian jewelry designer Flóra Vági, “I make objects, that are intimate and meaningful to their owners who carry them.” For her, jewelry not only adorns but also “talks and whispers”—it is understood without any form of verbal communication. Her design process is similar, focusing on experimentation with different materials and their diverse properties to create dissimilar, unique pieces that take on their own identity and begin to tell their own story through the act of re-assemblage. Vági also makes sculptural wooden pieces, infused with rich color and natural metals such as gold and Japanese alloys like shibuichi and shakudo.
