Introducing two artist series: BUNS AND CORRUGATED SERIES and WATERMARKS SERIES
The artist writes:
WATERMARKS SERIES
I opt for these works by an abstract geometric language of symbolic characteristics.
The work is a construction of concrete elements that in the syncretic process become significant. They refer to ornaments of architectural works, of emblematic characteristics and that is associated with possible representative insignia of families with high socioeconomic status.
I work through collage, with graphic parts of “Money receipt books” to emphasize the current importance of having over being.
The materials used, the support, the way of doing, the color and the form are in function of communicating and producing a reflection in the observer on internalized riles: If you do not have therefore you are not.
.
BUNS AND CORRUGATED SERIES
In this series I free myself from representative content in a language articulated by my plastic training and architectural discipline.
The work is a construction of concrete elements that in the syncretic process become expressive.
With the materials used, the supports, the ways of making, the color and the form manifest a deep emotion. A balance between discipline and freedom, a spiritual state brought to work.
