itabamoe
Japanese, b. 1991
Born in Shizuoka in 1991.
After studying fashion design, worked as an apparel designer. Later, she was attracted to the world of advertising and became an illustrator. While working on illustrations, advertisements, and collaborative products, she began working as an artist in 2021 when she faced her inner self.
Through her career of expressing the female image in the advertising industry in the 2010s, she has gone beyond her original role of illustration and part of the overall design to express painting as the subject of her illustrations. The bumpy, distinctive lines of his work are a daring expression of lines that seem to be enlarged copies of portions of magazines, with the assertion that he is expressing illustrations as contemporary art subjects that exist as part of magazines that serve as materials for discussing the present age. Through this method, I wish to tell a story using visual language.
Her experience in fashion design and illustration has given her a specialty in elegant and attractive women, and she captures and expresses in real time the shifting beauty of women in the midst of the celebrated diversity of today's world. In addition, she incorporates into her works the image of diverse, willful women of the 21st century, which is actively disseminated and discussed on social media and online as the fourth wave of feminism, from a flat perspective as the diversity of expression and its joy as a human being in a time when sexism and prejudice are being dispelled.
By depicting the emotions and personalities of women that change with the times, the artist transmits a statement of contemporary art.
They are strong, diverse, and beautiful beings, and through their stories, we hope to develop a dialogue about contemporary aesthetics and gender, and offer a new perspective on society.
Good women, we draw.
