Jair Arias
Mexican, b. 1997
air Arias (1997) is a Mexican artist with Tabasco roots who graduated from the Fine Arts degree at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC).
In 2019 he studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in a student exchange program, where he participated as a speaker in the international Colloquium Arte Cautivo, is part of the art and gender archive of Baja California and in 2021 he inaugurates his second individual exhibition through the secretary of culture, that same year, his work is
exhibited at the Círculo de Artes Plásticas Coimbra, in Portugal and participates in the first Elías + Fontes visual arts salon, in the city of Mexicali, held at the Planta Libre Espacio Experimental Gallery.
In 2022 his work is part of the Latin American Network of Contemporary Art C.C, Argentina-Brazil. One of his pieces obtained an honorable mention in the exhibition "Impulso" in a gallery in the city of Mexicali that same year, he was selected and graduated from the Contemporary and Current Art course from Latin America of the National Center for the Arts (CENART) and participates in All They put on Feria, the first contemporary art fair in northwest Mexico. Recently, in 2023, he was invited to be part of the Insite lab, a production and research laboratory organized by Insite art, Practices in the Public Sphere.
