James Stewart

James Stewart lives in Pennsylvania and has for many years. His studied art at the Barnstone Academy, where Master Teacher Myron Barnstone stressed to his students that being "creative" was not enough - they also needed to learn the highly structured, geometric design system known as The Golden Section or Golden Ratio. Stewart also studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia, PA. His work has been exhibited in both group and solo shows in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, and in New York.
Stewart was awarded a Ballinglen Ireland Fellowship 2009 and a Guggenheim Fellowship for painting 2007.
