Jenny Kemp
American
New York artist Jenny Kemp has refined a visual language of hypnotic, sensual painting that nods to color field abstraction, visionary architecture, mystical abstraction, and, from time to time, the body. She works in acrylic on linen panels, modulating color and form with precision and specificity.
Jenny Kemp lives and works in Troy NY where she sits on the board of Collar Works, an artist run exhibition space, and teaches at SUNY Albany and Union College. Her work has been exhibited nationally and has been discussed in the New York Times, Architectural Digest, and the Huffington Post. Her work is included in New American Paintings 2018 Northeast edition and the 2014 Thames and Hudson volume: 100 Painters of Tomorrow. Kemp is a 2015 NYFA Fellow in Painting.
