My paintings are created intuitively, so there is no pre-plan. I mainly apply the acrylic paint with old credit cards or other cards, these are easy to move and so I create the skin of my painting. I apply many layers of paint because I want a layer in which I can also scratch and add other materials such as paper, rope, linen and wallpaper.
So they are mixed media works in clay and pebble colors and white tones that are accentuated with strong, dark colors. Graphic lines give my paintings a characteristic signature. This together creates a balance and serene atmosphere.
I get my inspiration from old cities with old buildings where walls have peeled off, I am intrigued by the story behind all those layers of paint!
