Jon Stam

Creating objects that resonate personally, Canadian designer Jon Stam explores autobiographical tropes while also commenting on socio-cultural issues of the times. Some of his most important works include Curiosity Cabinet, his degree project form the Design Academy Eindhoven, which was a cabinet series that manifested itself in both the physical and digital realms. Many of the artists’ projects deal with human emotion, moods, and relationships. For Imaginary Museum, Stam hacked an old-school “view-master” with micro-LCD screens; viewers could peer into the piece and view collections curated in miniature.
