Filled with color, energy, and expression, Judy Glantzman’s paintings and sculptures are born out of self-scrutiny and an interest in psychology, physiognomy, and the mutability of personality. With her figurative sculptures, and through the emotive faces, hands, and feet that recur in her paintings, Glantzman presents “the inside of [her] head made visible,” as she explains. In her work, she captures the gamut of human emotions, mixing representations of joy and love with those of anxiety and pain in her roiling, expressionistic compositions.
