Kayoko Mizumoto works in the tradition of Kutani ceramics style from the 17th century. Her works are characterized by rich colors, partly because she learned to design Kaga Yuzen (kimono). Many of her works have checkerboard and polka dot patterns, as well as large horns and protruding eyes, making them more like works of art.
