Kristine Moran’s paintings make reference to landscapes, utopian societies, and figures of swimmers while exploring color, composition, and texture through abstraction. Many of her works also make reference to works by art historical figures such as Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, Edgar Degas, and Henri Matisse. Moran received her MFA from Hunter College in New York, and she has exhibited at various galleries in New York and Toronto. She was included in the Phaidon painting anthology Vitamin P2, and her work has been acquired by several international collections including the Saatchi Collection (London) and the Buffalo AKG Art Museum (Buffalo, New York).
