Kyle William Harper
American
I didn't become a political artist until my daughter was born and then I just wanted to try to make the world a little bit better for her... and art was the only way I knew how.
I wanted my art to have meaning, depth and to be more like a Sacred Scroll of Knowledge & Love in hopes of helping raise mankind to a Higher Level of Consciousness.
With both parents working for the Airline Industry, Californian Native Kyle William Harper grew up skateboarding and traveling the world. His mother, a German immigrant was an avid Art Enthusiast and Collector so he was introduced to a wide variety of Art Museums and Galleries worldwide. He began drawing at around 6 years old and never stopped. Being inspired by Life and all that he saw, Kyle became a self taught artist and would soon become an entreprenuer, starting his own clothing skateboard company Roast Fish Cornbread when he was 19, having no prior business experience. Having an addiction to the open road, Kyle hopped on 94-95 tour with the Grateful Dead and began promoting more of his art. He found constant inspiration in Great Leaders and Speakers like Jiddu Krishnamurti, Bob Marley, Jello Biafra, Hunter S Thompson, Charles Bukowski, PD Ouspensky, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, and John Lennon which would help guide his art throughout his life in hopes of helping make a change for the better in the world. He began producing and curating events & festivals worldwide such as the Roast Fish Cornbread Summer Jam with 22 Artists & 5 Live Bands in Los Angeles CA, the Ancient Civilizations Art/Music Festival in San Antonio TX, The Meeting of the Minds in Ollantaytambo, Peru and the Mona Lisa Show in Berlin, Germany with over 60 International Artists participating. His Art has been published numerous times in a variety of magazines worldwide from Juxtapoz Magazine to Juice Skateboard Magazine and did artwork & mural for Adidas.
