Laurence Le Constant
French, b. 1976
After obtaining a degree in fashion design, Laurence Le Constant began art studies specialized in textile design and then developed skills as an embroider, weaver and feather-worker. She later chose a course combining visual arts at the Sorbonne with classes at the School of the Chambre de la Haute Couture Parisienne, which sealed her desire to master creation of the most sophisticated materials, together with the fundamental questions of visual arts.
From 2007, she gained experience in prestigious haute couture workshops. In 2010, she decider to devote herself entirely to her own work.
She has participated in several group exhibitions in Galleries, and Fairs in France, Japan and United States and had a solo show at Gallery Géraldine Banier in 2014.
Her works are already in several public and private collections such as Micheline, (from the série the Lovely Bones) who joined the permanent collection of the Dallas Museum of Art in 2012.
