Laurie Fader
American
Laurie Fader is a distinguished artist and recipient of numerous honors, including a Pollock-Krasner Award, an Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Assistance Grant, and the Helen W. Winternitz Award for excellence in painting from Yale University. She has also received support from the Great Meadows Foundation and participated in artist residencies in France, Haiti, Hungary, and Italy. Fader lived in New York City for 25 years, where she taught at Pratt Institute, before relocating to Baltimore to teach at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She later co-founded and chaired the Kentucky School of Art at Spalding University in Louisville. Currently, Fader is a full-time artist and continues to exhibit her work both in the US and internationally.
