Linda Lynch
I have lived in the Western United States most of my life. I draw inspiration from the landscapes, unique light, and cultural background of my life. I usually create from memory, but have been known to take isolated sections from numerous unrelated photographs to create a landscape. Oftentimes, my ideas come to me, triggered by the smallest seed of something tangible I am seeing at the time. In addition to my art, I am a jogger and bicyclist, and I have been knitting since I was seven years old. I have studied with several “West Coast” photographers—Brett Weston, Richard Garrod, Bob Byers, and Pirkle Jones—to improve my skills to “isolate and emphasize” my subjects, as well as absorb their “eye for seeing” as they photographed light and feeling.
