Liu Yu-Chi

Yu-Chi was from Yunlin and graduated from the Department of Visual Communication, at Taipei City University. Majored in pottery during school and regarded pottery as a lifelong ambition. She moved to Taichung for full-time creation in July 2018, and created a brand “于時 Yu’s Ceramics” She is responsible for the research and development, production, and sales of brand products; she continues to work hard on the road of ceramic art.
Her current series of works is based on the theme of "clouds". In the midst of daily exhaustion, she pours out her emotions by looking to the sky for temporary solace, and using the clouds as a container for her spiritual outpouring is a new mindfulness practice for her. To her, creation is a record of life, and the characters are often a projection of herself. Apart from the emotional connection, she also likes to challenge different forms and experiment with glazes, hoping to gradually advance herself by accumulating these experiences.

劉于祺, 1992 年生，台北市立大學視覺藝術學系畢業。在學期間主修陶藝，並將陶 藝做為畢生志向；2018 年 7 月搬至台中全職創作，創有品牌【于時 Yu’s Ceramics】， 負責品牌商品研發、製作、販售等事項；在陶藝的路上持續努力前進。

創作論述
那些日常發生的事件與情緒，像是點點星光，雖然有好有壞，卻也閃爍著生活、帶來 成長；隨著時間，感官和情緒會越來越消逝，趁著情感還很鮮明時作為原料，我想好 好記錄下來，關於這些自身經歷所產生的反思及反饋。

日常可以只是日常，也可以細細品味；看似平平無奇的生活，但當中的情感如果能好 好意識並珍惜，對於生活的體悟必然能更深刻，能明白身邊的陪伴與照顧，都不是平 白生出的，這些作為心靈的支撐與宣洩，都是彌足珍貴的，組成一個人的重要部分之 一。

在近年的忙碌生活中，也確切體會到了好好照護自己身心的重要性，曾經的冥想課程 就帶給我很大的感觸，在調整自己呼吸頻率之下，一切的外在與內在都緩慢下來，將 不需要的負面情緒隨著吐氣排出，想像光芒、接受光芒，雖然時間短暫卻帶來很大的 平靜與修復感。

本次的系列作品以「雲」作為主題，在日常的疲憊中，抬頭仰望天空之時，將自身的 情緒寄託於天空與自然之中而得以暫時舒緩，由雲來承載，是我近期心靈上的小小依託。

對我來說，創作即是記錄生活，人物大多時候都是自我的投射，除了情感上的連結，也喜愛挑戰不同的造型及釉藥的實驗使用，希望在一次次的累積中，跟著作品一起成長。
