Lucien Hervé
French, 1910–2007

Born in 1910 in Hungary, died in 2007
While it is close to the humanist school of the post-war period (Doisneau, Ronis ...), the work of Lucien Hervé is deeply marked by his encounter with architects such as Oscar Niemeyer and Le Corbusier especially when he became his assigned photographer. Diving frames, oblique views, economy of means and will of abstraction characterize his photographic style, very different from that of his contemporaries.
