Magnakobo
French, b. 1995
Magnakobo is a French contemporary artist born in 1995. He lives and works in the Paris region.
For a few years, Magnakobo's creative process has not ceased to be abstract. Originally working with geometric forms, he has gradually abandoned this work for creations devoid of forms.
His work has thus reached total abstraction, that of the line, the only protagonist of his works. This luminous line realized on a flat black surface and enhanced with resin is the guarantor of enigmatic creations that invite introspection.
Magnakobo's creative process is the result of research conducted in the field of cosmogony, a theory explaining the origins of the universe. Resulting from personal questioning, this search for a reason for humanity, usually the object of philosophy, has gradually evolved into an artistic questioning.
The luminous and colored lines contrasting a flatness of absolute black evoke the original light, the first spark of the beginning thanks to which the Nothing becomes Everything.
From this research, Magnakobo developed the Ayin series, named after the 16th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, by virtue of its symbolic significance. Ayin means the eye, so its symbolism is intimately linked to a dimension of clairvoyance, awareness, and knowledge. Using this symbol, Magnakobo invites the individual to become aware of and question the question of origins.
Magnokobo's work is exhibited in galleries and has made its way into private collections.
