Megan Marrin

American,

Megan Marrin creates objects and sculptural paintings that riff of the readymade, using materials such as leather, fabric, glass, paper, and resin. Combining digital work with the artist’s hand, she sometimes draws fabrics from her own wardrobe, photographing or scanning the materials and grafting them over constructed supports. Some of Marrin’s objects allude to the domestic, including colorful or patterned shelves, and panels that feature architectural molding. Marrin has also created works that incorporate vintage photographic material amassed from estate sales and flea markets.
