Born in 1964, Lucerne artist, with French roots, designs an own world within the painting, which is composed of his many-sided creative work, personality and lifestyle. His undeviating work and development already started in the eighties of the last century. He was initially concerned about the human body. This is where the artwork series PARTS OF BODY, FACE TO FACE and SHOES were created. Painted in his own and unmistakable sweeping brushstroke.
In the past 20 years followed: MOST FAMOUS PART I - III, MARILYN MONROE, CARS, JUNKYARD, GAUGUIN-LUCERNE, STEAMBOATS OF THE LAKE LUCERNE, WATER TOWER, SKIN, CITY PAINTINGS OF LUCERNE, ZURICH, BERNE, CHUR, NEUCHÂTEL and the ongoing tribution to the Swiss national hero WILHELM TELL, 100 years after Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918).
Michaël Lucerne has also realized artworks in the public area – especially to be mentioned are two artworks on the Pilatus: a monumental wall painting (2 x 5 m) as well as an object on the rock (14 x 7 m), where art an nature merged.
