Peter Busch’s paintings are physical embodiments of a fleeting impression. Like a thinly remembered dream or an unnerving Déjà-vu, they cling onto a sensation just outside the reach. Busch oft thematizes a life devoid of the urban unrest, which allows for thick impressionistic texture to emerge. What is created is a space of unrest, possibility and desire that, like a humble soap bubble, bursts upon close contact. Busch's paintings are the moment before this space collapses.
