Philip Argent

Philip Argent is known for his abstract paintings that explore themes of perception, memory, and the interplay between the digital and physical worlds. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Cheltenham School of Art in England and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1994. Notably, his paintings have been showcased in esteemed institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Cleveland and the Cranbrook Art Museum in Michigan. Argent's paintings are part of several permanent collections, including those of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Argent is a faculty member in the Department of Art at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
