"Stigma" continues Pola Sieverdings exploration, in a variety of media, of forms of attraction and the subjugation of desire which invariably shapes social interaction. In turning her often lens based eye towards isolated subjects, she realises a cinema of ontological interactions which captures the viewer in the dance of their own gaze, often through the staged exaggeration of psychologically charged objects of desire.
