Rachel Sharp

Rachel Sharp is an American artist based in the UK. She trained in figurative painting at The New York Studio School for Drawing, Painting and Sculpture and earned a Fine Art MA at Northumbria University. In addition to showing her works with New York - based BOOM Contemporary Gallery, she has exhibited at galleries including BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art (UK); Porter Contemporary (NYC); Booklyn Art Space and The Finnish Academy for Fine Arts.

Rachel has spent most of her career working in oil paints but during the pandemic began to play with other, lighter media such as gouache and watercolour. She recently discovered Sennelier soft and oil pastels, as her recent show of pastel portraits on Artsy is testament.
