Biography

Ever since his “Library in suspension” of 1970, designer Roberto Monsani has created innovative storage solutions that integrate with the wall to provide spaces for displaying and concealing objects, as well as thoughtfully considered built-in light sources. His recent work has continued this trajectory, though updated with modern technology, as in the limited edition Matrix (2003) for Acerbis, with its transparent methacrylate shelves illuminated in six fiber-optic colors. Like his shelving and storage pieces, Monsani’s Quadrivio table is a study in simple, clean lines and right angles executed in rich materials.
