Ronnie Ford's work features a highly textured surface and brightly contrasting colours which capture the landscape in a personal and evocative way. He follows the dictum of the Chinese masters who believed that anyone can copy a landscape which lies before them, but only a true master can capture its spirit. Born in Dunoon, Scotland, Ford studied at the Glasgow School of Art and launched his career with sell-out shows in Hong Kong and London. He has built a strong international presence with exhibitions all over the world, and his work is held in prominent public and private collections including the French Consulate, Hong Kong, Bank of South Australia, NHS Scotland, The Cotswold House Hotel, the Princes Trust, Esther Benjamins Trust, and MacMillan Cancer Care amonst many others.
