Rosalío Vera

Rosalío Vera, born in Tacubaya, Mexico City, in 1953, is a renowned photographer and video post-producer. He studied Cinematic Photography at the University Center for Cinematographic Studies (CUEC) and has explored various photographic genres, including architecture, advertising, gastronomy, sports, and fashion.
In 1985, a pivotal moment in his career arrived when he was invited to photograph wrestlers, marking the start of his journey into Mexican professional wrestling. Vera revolutionized how wrestlers were portrayed, creating the first studio photographs of these athletes and venturing into action photography.
His legacy is defined by two approaches: studio photography, shaping wrestlers' personas, and action photography, capturing the essence of professional wrestling. Rosalío Vera published books, exhibited worldwide, and became a respected figure in both the wrestling and photography realms. In 2019, he retired, leaving a lasting impact on both fields.
