Sabrina Gschwandtner uses film strips, video, photography, and textile as her medium, interweaving them to pay homage to cinema history, labor and craft tradition. Gschwandtner has exhibited internationally at institutions including the Smithsonian American Art Museum (Washington D.C.); Victoria & Albert Museum (London, UK); Los Angeles County Museum of Art among many others. Her work is held in the permanent collections of LACMA; SAAM; Museum of Fine Arts Boston; RISD Museum (Providence, RI); the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis, MN), etc. She received a BA from Brown University and an MFA from Bard College.
