Stuart Warren born December 29, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. Graduated Princeton University with an AB magna cum laude in the Department of Art and Archaeology and Harvard Law School 1968 with an LlB cum laude. Practiced law in New York and California with a focus on aircraft related transactions.
About 5 or 6 years ago, I purchased two photographs by an Israeli photographer which while photographs of actual things could also be viewed as abstract images. I had a tendency to photograph on a micro level focusing on small details and began looking for ways to combine that with an attempt to create abstract images which ideally could be read at multiple levels. I also sought in the editing process to enhance the color impact as a way of adding energy and dynamic tension to the image.
As an example, the piece "Essence" is a close up image of a succulent made abstract and color enhanced. It is a plant, an abstract image and also an image that suggests something more in a way that some Georgia O'Keefe images do. Or "Can you see me" is an image pretty much without any working of paint splatters from an art class I took with my son and daughter-in-law. The splatters were more interesting than the work I produced and within the abstract images some human images are suggested as well.
