Svetlana Smolych
Ukrainian, b. 1994
Young artist from Pryluky, Ukraine. The beginning of communication with her was the purchase of a small painting in the pop art style, but further communication pointed to the extraordinary talent of the artist in the mandala style, as eloquently evidenced by her works posted, in agreement with the artist, in our gallery. Paintings made on canvas with stretchers, dot style, acrylic, dot by dot, with additional oil painting, and opened with varnish. The plots are based on Ukrainian motankas, chameleons and other animals. Everything is tied in extraordinary mandala lace, inspired by Indian motifs. Basically everything is drawn on a dark background, which emphasizes the light lace of the mandala. The central characters of Motanka and other heroes are highlighted in bright colors. Each work has painted edges in continuation of the picture, which makes it possible to hang them without frames. We hope that art lovers will highly appreciate the talent of the young artist.
