Tomer Ganihar
b. 1970
Tomer Ganihar (b. 1970, Israel) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges photography, painting, writing, and film to explore the metaphysics of light, movement, and collective consciousness. His work investigates the tension between spirituality and modernity — translating contemporary life into luminous, transcendent imagery that blurs the boundaries between realism and abstraction.
A former writer and filmmaker, Ganihar first gained international recognition in the early 2000s for his visionary depictions of energy, rhythm, and ritual, earning him a solo exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art at the age of 30 — making him one of the youngest artists ever to exhibit there. His works have since been shown internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, the Helsinki City Art Museum, and leading galleries in Europe and the United States.
Ganihar’s art reflects a philosophical dialogue between East and West, science and mysticism, technology and nature. His ongoing collaborations — such as CONFU$IUS, a conceptual brand developed with artist Shay Kun — expand this vision into new territories where art, commerce, and cultural commentary intersect.
Through his multi-layered practice, Tomer Ganihar establishes himself as one of the leading voices of a new generation of Israeli-born artists whose work resonates on a truly global and spiritual scale.
