Treacy Ziegler
American
Treacy Ziegler is a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Her practice explores themes of isolation, empathy, and human connection, often incorporating unconventional materials such as cast paper made from pulped prisoner letters. Originally trained as a social worker, Ziegler later pursued formal artistic training at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Her work combines traditional techniques with experimental processes, creating emotionally resonant compositions. She has exhibited widely across the U.S. and Canada, with work included in institutional collections such as the Arnot Art Museum and Cornell University. Ziegler has also received grants from the Barnes Foundation and the Puffin Foundation, furthering her exploration of how art can convey complex psychological and social narratives.
