Tulu Bayar is a Turkish-born American artist and educator living in rural Pennsylvania. Her studio, located in a former dairy barn, reflects her philosophy of interconnectedness. Her art, inspired by Rumi's teachings, explores the spiritual aspects of unity and mysticism. As an immigrant artist, Bayar draws from her in-between experiences, blending influences from her native and adopted cultures. Her work delves into concepts like exoticism, otherness, and hybridism. Bayar, with a BA from the University of Ankara and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati, has exhibited widely in the US and Europe. Currently, she teaches visual art at Bucknell University.
