Ulrike Theusner
German, b. 1982
Ulrike Theusner likes the idea of the world thea- ter, of people as an ensemble, of characters as actors. Her works reflect this fascination: “Every picture is a little stage, a cosmos all its own, a world in miniature. With them, I create a space. Each work is a little play. In it, something is of- fered and, in the best case, is carried forward in the viewer’s mind.”
Ulrike Theusner (born 1982 in Frankfurt / Oder, Germany) lives and works in Weimar, Germany. She studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nice, France. Her work was shown in several solo and group exhibitions, for example at the Angermuseum in Erfurt, at Galerie EIGEN + ART Leipzig/Berlin, at the Neue Sächsische Galerie in Chemnitz, the Jenaer Kunstverein or Kunsthalle Rostock in Germany.
