London-based artist Word to Mother draws from his background in illustration to create multi-layered paintings that feature an interchanging cast of signature characters. Upon experiencing the mural culture of San Francisco at twelve years old, Word to Mother became fascinated with street art, and continues to take inspiration from his urban surroundings, often creating work upon salvaged material. His pieces convey both strength and intricacy as loose script and architectural drawings are set amongst a wash of varied colors.
