Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Art and Design, Textile Design Course.
Yu is an artist with a distinctive design-like composition that draws from her experience studying graphic design in college and her work in interior textiles. She is also influenced by Kabuki and musical stage design.
Influenced by her parents, who worked in design, she had many art books and materials at home from a young age. Since she was introverted, her self-expression was through drawing, and if she had a piece of paper, she would just draw. Now that she has children of her own, she often works, listening to the radio while her children are at school. In the future, she would like to try painting murals.
