Yuliia Dzhurenko or Zhu Zhu (b.1990) is a Ukrainian figurative artist, known for her captivating contemporary art style, expressive figurative characters and diverse colors pallet. Her work has been displayed in various exhibitions across Asia and Europe, capturing the attention of audiences with its mix of figurative, pop - art , semi-surreal and expressive styles. Always exploring her inner self, Yuliia presents fresh perspectives on modern figurative art with a touch of femininity.
Yuliia began drawing at the age of 3 and chose not to attend an art academy. Instead, she decided to develop her artistic skills on her own, even if it could took years. She spent over a decade creating realistic and expressive oil portraits, with visible asian vibes, before deciding to develop her unique style through a self-portrait reflecting self-portrait character in 2020. Between 2020-2024 she has finished 3 major art collections, each of which represents different life stage of her personal developmental, social studies and life matters. Among them: Fishes&Moon, Perception and Childhood Retrospectives.
