When Yurie was 8 years old, she visited a Monet exhibition with her mother and was struck by a painting of "Waterlilies" that inspired her to become a painter. There was a period of time when she stopped painting, but when she returned to her hometown, Nara, she started painting again in earnest.
She mainly works on her original work, but also takes orders for image art, which she paints images of people while listening to the music they usually listen.
Her goal is to hold a solo exhibition and she also wants to try her hand at live painting in the future.
