1010, pronounced “ten-ten”, is a Hamburg-based contemporary artist known for his enigmatic, op-art murals. His illusionary works suggest portals into a dark abyss that inhabit our urban landscapes.

1010 works outwards from the dark center of his image, layer by layer, to reach the lightest shades of color on the periphery of his piece, creating breathtaking shapes that burrow their way into the sides of buildings.
